Huffington Post Helps Left Dominate Right Online

In the battle for the blogosphere, left-leaning sites are clobbering their conservative counterparts, thanks mostly to the Huffington Post, David Kaplan writes for paidContent. Liberal sites attracted 6.4 million unique visitors in April, to 4.8 million for conservative sites. Of those, 5.6 million were Huffington Post hits, trouncing the second-place Drudge Report’s 1.7 million.

The right can take solace in knowing that it holds nine of the top 20 political sites to the left’s eight. In addition, some conservative sites, like MichelleMalkin.com, are growing fast, while the DailyKos and MyDD are losing steam. It can also pin some hopes on Tucker Carlson’s upcoming Daily Caller, which is billing itself as the right’s HuffPo. (More traffic stories.)
