Rush Limbaugh says President Obama condemned the military coup against Honduran President Manuel Zelaya in order to “lay a foundation for not being a hypocrite when he tries to serve beyond 2016,” RealClearPolitics reports. The army moved against Zelaya when he tried to eliminate term limits—“basically rip that country’s democracy to shreds,” Limbaugh said. “And Obama sides with the guy who wanted to rip up the constitution.”
Obama’s “cult-like” followers—who, Limbaugh notes, “include a wide percentage of minorities”—will come to see him as irreplaceable. Obama will be only too happy to indulge them, at the cost of the Constitution, because he and his Latin American chums like Zeleya and Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez “are people who seek power for reasons other than to serve. They seek to rule.” (More Rush Limbaugh stories.)
