Already ridiculed for sex scandals, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi now has to hear it from his estranged wife in a new book, reports the Guardian. Berlusconi is a "ridiculous figure before the world," said Veronica Lario, who filed for divorce in April.
The relationship's breaking point occurred when Berlusconi used an out-of-town sanitation meeting as a pretense to attend the 18th birthday party of aspiring actress Noemi Letizia, said Lario, 53, in the book Tendenza Veronica by Maria Latella. "Ten years ago I was not ready; today I can say with my head high, 'I am separating from this man.'" (More Silvio Berlusconi stories.)
