Tiger Woods is out of the hospital and doing well after an early-morning car crash in which he suffered facial lacerations. The superstar golfer hit a fire hydrant and tree with his Cadillac SUV, and his condition was initially reported as serious, the designation for any patient transported by ambulance. He was "admitted, treated and released today in good condition," a statement from his publicist and the hospital says.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported alcohol was not considered a factor in the 2:25am incident outside Woods' home in the Orlando suburb of Windermere. "I think it's nothing more than an accident," the mayor of Windermere told CNN. Whether Woods was wearing a seatbelt isn't known.
