Phils Come Back to Beat Mets

Pedro struck out 9, but couldn't save his bullpen from blowing his lead into a Philly comeback victory. The Phils scored four times late to win 5-3 after trailing 3-1 until the 7th. They have beaten the Mets in seven straight encounters, and closed the gap in the National League East to 4½  games.

Carlos Beltran helped the Phillies' cause, by misplaying a Jimmie Rollins line drive, resulting in a triple and two RBI. The Phillies lead the majors in come-from-behind victories, and demonstrated why in their past two games. They won last night in the 10th, after coming back in the 6th, on a two-run homer by Chase Utley. (More New York Mets stories.)
