When it comes to Internet celebrity, Perez Hilton tops the list. The gossip blogger excels in all of Forbes' criteria, including hits on Google, page views, media saturation, and Twitter followers. Each person on the list must be famous primarily for their Web presence. Herewith, the rest of the top 5 of the top 25:

  1. Michael Arrington: The corporate lawyer is also the founder of widely read tech blog TechCrunch. "A mere mention of a company on its pages can make or break a startup."

  1. Pete Cashmore: The Mashable founder moved his site from home in Scotland to Silicon Valley. He's "widely regarded as an expert on how to use, consume and profit from social media" and "boasts more Twitter followers (almost 2 million) than any other Web Celeb."
  2. Evan Williams and Biz Stone: The Twitter founders have seen their service go "from tech-industry obsession to national phenomenon" and are now "celebrities in their own right," with 2.8 million followers between them.
  3. Kevin Rose: The Digg founder is omnipresent on the Internet, hosting a Web tech channel and a weekly video podcast, Diggnation. And his site gets more than 35 million hits a month.
