Pastor Charles Ssempa's congregation was treated to a slideshow of gay pornography downloaded from the Internet this week as part of his attack on Uganda's homosexual community. Ssempa, supporter of a bill that would impose the death penalty on people found guilty of having gay sex, says it is necessary "to educate ourselves about what homosexuals do," the Guardian reports.
"The major argument homosexuals have is that what people do in the privacy of their bedrooms is nobody's business, but do you know what they do in their bedrooms?" Ssempa asked the congregation, which included many minors, before showing the graphic images. Gay activists denounced the stunt as "twisted homophobic propaganda" and called for Ssempa's arrest. The unrepentant preacher says he plans to show gay porn to the country's parliament next. (More homophobia stories.)
