A 29-year-old science teacher became just the second female head football coach at a US high school today, with Washington’s Coolidge High introducing Natalie Randolph. The 29-year-old played on a DC women’s team, and was an assistant coach at another city high school. “I love football, no matter whose domain it is,” Randolph tells the Post. “While I’m proud to be a part of what this all means, being female has nothing to do with it.”

And the move seems to sit well with her players. “We all have mothers, so that’s a coach. It’s not going to be any different,” says one who’s taken a class with the popular Randolph, who joins Debbie Vance, who has coached Lehman High in the Bronx for two seasons. “We’re going to be playing football on Friday nights, trying to get a ‘W.’”
