Brett Favre zinged a 16-yard pass into history in today’s Packers-Vikings contest. With 4:56 to go in the first, Favre connected with Greg Jennings for his 421st career touchdown, breaking Dan Marino’s all-time record. He then rushed into the end zone and hoisted Jennings onto his shoulders, as even Minnesota fans applauded the accomplishment, the AP reports.
Marino congratulated Favre in a taped message reminiscent of the one Henry Aaron made for Barry Bonds. Favre would throw another TD later in the game, on the way to a 23-16 victory, as Green Bay remained undefeated. The 38-year-old is collecting records these days; last week it was Dan Marino's career win mark. Next up: career completions and career interceptions. (More Green Bay Packers stories.)
