McCain: 'Complete the Danged Fence'

John McCain is a border hawk, you got that? He's “one of us.” And to make that absolutely clear, he's released this new ad in which he stoically declares his plan to “complete the danged fence.” You can expect that to be his new catchphrase, because he's registered CompleteTheDangedFence.com, linking it to his fundraising page, Reason Online reports.

Of course, all this get-tough-on-the-Mexicans stuff is just a wee bit out of character, Wonkette points out—“John McCain invented shamnesty." And fun fact, courtesy of a Reason commentator: McCain's sheriff buddy in the ad says he's from Pinal County, which isn't even on the border. If that ad was really shot in Nogales, he drove 85 miles for the 30-second spot. (More John McCain stories.)
