Eating a high-fat meal worsens inflammation

Looks like a fatty diet affects more than your pant size: It may make asthma worse. A group of 40 asthma suffers were given either burgers and hash browns or yogurt. Those who ate the high-fat meal, which clocked in at 52% of calories from fat, had inflammation in their airways and showed less improvement after taking medication a few hours after the meal. The results suggest that a low-fat diet may be one way to manage asthma, reports LiveScience.
