Pinch hitter Jeff Baker singled home the go-ahead run in Colorado's 2-1 victory over the Phillies, wrapping up a Rockies' sweep. The Rockies are now headed to the first National League Championship Series in the team's 14-year history, after a roller-coaster season that defied the odds, reports the Rocky Mountain News.

Ubaldo Jimenez held Philadelphia to one run in 6 "  innings, and Brian Fuentes nabbed the win for Colorado in a game that was delayed on account of darkness in the second inning. The Rockies were nine games below .500 in May, but turned their season around to beat the Padres in a wild-card tiebreaker and win 17 of their last 18 games. (More MLB stories.)
