An LA judge yesterday ordered police to book Britney Spears before her Oct. 25 trial on charges that she smashed into a parked car, inspected her damage, then left the scene as paparazzi filmed away—all sans license. Spears’ lawyer said the beleaguered star will go down to the station to have her fingerprints and mugshot taken, the AP reports, but wasn’t sure when.
Spears was not at yesterday’s arraignment, but was represented by her lawyer, who said that the pop princess was eager to figure out the damage and reimburse the owner of the other car. That woman said she discovered that Spears was responsible when she saw a video online and reported the incident to police. (More Britney Spears stories.)
