Ben Quayle’s Arizona congressional campaign hit a teeny tiny snag yesterday, when it was revealed that the 33-year-old had once been a contributing writer for Dirty Scottsdale, a raunchy sex site covering the club scene in his town. Quayle—who is indeed, if you were wondering, the son of Dan—initially denied the reports, but then admitted that he’d posted to the site “to try to drive some traffic.” Check out Quayle's prose, written under the name Brock Landers, here.
The revelation puts a dent in Quayle’s carefully-constructed squeaky-clean image, Politico observes. In a recent ad—in which he declared Barack Obama the “worst president in history”—Quayle listed as his main qualification that he had been “raised right.” His campaign literature paints him as a family man, though the children pictured in it aren't actually his. The revelation "could easily cost him the race," says one GOP strategist. "This site is notorious for being disparaging of women."
