While some women are rallying for the same rights as men to go topless, others are saying "ew" about the latest male peek-a-boo trend to bare "man cleavage." From Jude Law to Simon Cowell, men are baring more and more of their often hairy pecs beneath the plunging necklines of shirts and sweaters. And it's too much for Jess Cartner-Morley of the Guardian to bear. As she puts it: "Just eew."
The "final straw came when Jude Law took Sienna out for dinner in Mayfair, dressed in a V-neck sweater slashed as low as a wrestler's vest. Gentlemen, please. Put it away," she pleads. Blame it on the gym. When you work on your bod, it's tempting to put it out there. And while the older generation is continuing to highlight male cleavage with a jacket, even that's being dispensed with by "a younger breed of male peacocks on both sides of the Atlantic, from JLS and the Kings of Leon to Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick—all the better to flaunt their hours in the gym," notes Jess.
