The New York Times has new allegations of sexual assault against Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh, and it involves another female classmate, this one from his undergraduate days at Yale. Deborah Ramirez tells Times reporters Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly, who have a forthcoming book titled The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation, that during her freshman year, Kavanaugh dropped his pants and thrust his penis at her, "prompting her to swat it away and inadvertently touch it." "I had gone through high school, I’m the good girl, and now, in one evening, it was all ripped away," says Ramirez, who did not come from a privileged background.
The Times found Ramirez's account less damaging but easier to corroborate than that of Christine Blasey Ford. At least seven people, including two classmates, heard of the incident days later. It was not a lone incident, according to Pogrebin and Kelly, who report that classmate Max Stier told the FBI that he'd seen Kavanaugh shove his pants down at another party, and friends pushed his penis into the hands of a female student. The FBI did not investigate that claim. Kavanaugh refused to be interviewed by the Times, because the two parties couldn't agree on terms, but has denied all allegations.
